Whole Lotta Love...Day 2 & 3

Ok, so I fell behind a day....sounds a little like my merriment posts, but with good reason.
My Whole Lotta Love for Day 2 is good friends.
Our old neighbors from Maine came down to visit this past week.  They have 5 little ones, the youngest stayed back home with the in-laws.  Our children had the best time together as did we.
It is so nice to have good friends, the ones that are easily pleased, always polite and enjoy just about anything you do.  I know that with our busy schedule and theirs it is hard to stop and find the time to just sit back with another couple and enjoy the company, but we did just that!  We had such a beautiful day yesterday with food, fun and fishing of course!

Unfortunately they had to leave early today (Sunday) and fly home...to the bitter cold, but they really enjoyed their time here....and so did we:)

Our youngest was MIA during this shot

Whole Lotta Love Day 3

Mary, Queen of the Universe Shrine.
When we lived in Orlando 15 years ago, my husband (then boyfriend) and I had one thing in common...we were both practicing Catholics that went to church every Sunday (one of the many things that I loved about him).  We really never belonged to a particular parish in Orlando so we would attend mass at Mary, Queen of the Universe.
Mary, Queen of the Universe is a Catholic church that was built in the 1980s so that the large number of visitors to the Orlando region would have a place to attend mass.

After we relocated back to Orlando we decided to go back there for Sunday masses.  My children do attend religious education at a local Catholic parish, where we do occasionally attend mass, but we really enjoy the Shrine, its Priests and their telling of the Gospel and all the wonderful visitors that come to the area.
If you ever come to Orlando and want to attend a Sunday mass or just visit the Shrine, I highly recommend this church.

Enjoy your Sunday:)

Hi, I haven't been here for a while. I was so busy setting up my online shop. I'm glad you had such a good time with old friends. Your pictures look like Summer-pics to me. Wasn't it an adjustment for you, the difference in climates?

Btw I changed my blog name to Old Red Barn.

Nothing better than spending time with good friends. Does a heart good. Always sad though when time comes to say goodbye.
Beautiful place of worship. Always special when you have fond memories of a place. Thanks for sharing.

Oh Lori the weather looks so fantastic there, I want some warmth! Such a good reason to not have posted a day with friends is so much more important. Love the shrine and the love you have for worshiping there. Thanks for sharing,
Be blessed,
Cindi

And now you are FAMOUS - because my very own construction-worker brother helped build that church! How funny is that. Small, small world that Jesus has us in!
