Another Free Card!

Looks like there's another chance for a free card!  Choose any card from Cardstore.com, add it to your cart, go to checkout, and use coupon code MCSFREE112 to get it free. Just leave the credit card information blank and your order should go through fine.  I'm not sure how long this one lasts, so go give it a try quick!

Free Card at the Card Store

Thought I would share this offer.  Right now, Cardstore.com is offering a Free Card + Free Shipping to the first 10,000 people.  Select and create the card you want, then use code 10KPeople at checkout, and your total will be $0.00!  It just worked for me.  We sent one to Grandpa in New York!
Let me know if it works and who you sent your card to!

Happenings This Week

So I'm trying to get a move on with this blog, it's been a pretty busy week for us.
In honor of Literacy Week (1/23-1/27), my children were asked to dress up as their favorite book character for school.  As you can see we whipped up a couple of quick outfits the night before, but I think they turned out pretty good, for last minute that is.  (My 10 year old decided not to participate).
Dorothy & Peter Pan
On Wednesday, they dressed as their favorite idiom.  So for example, my daughter went as "under the weather".  She created some weather cutouts and tied them around a headband with pipe cleaners.  Came out pretty cute.  My 5yr old tied some string around a few of my daughters toy horses and carried them around, can you guess?  "hold your horses".  And finally, my ten year old cut out the words "GO" and taped them to the outside of his arm - "go out on a limb".
Anyway, I may be bias but I thought that they were all pretty creative.
Today is the last day for Literacy Week, so it was dress up as a vocabulary word.  Once again my oldest didn't participate, (late night for him due to a field trip), but the others did.  My daughter chose "popcorn" and my son "ocean".  Hopefully if everything is still in contact when they get home from school I can post a pic.
Well, I hope all of you had a prosperous week.  If any of your children celebrated Literacy Week, I would love to hear about it!
~God Bless~

Happy New Year!

Well, this is my first post on the first day of the new year - 2012!  I'm hoping to add a lot more going forward, but it's late and for now I'm just happy to have my blog up and running!
I am really going to work hard this year at my new years resolutions and I am hoping to stay organized and truthful to them all (#1 on list).
I hope all of you had a wonderful 2011 and I wish you all a healthy and prosperous 2012!
Keep checking back and later on I will post all of my ideas and projects that I have in mind for 2012.
~Blessings~
