Hidden Treasures

If you take a look around my house you can tell that I love old trunks!  I love them for their appearance, for stacking and especially for storage!!
I was driving home with the kids on Saturday after craft time at one of our local clubhouses and we decided to stop at a garage sale around the corner.  Along with some really cool intricate buttons that my son bought (he builds robots out of metal and wood, thought they would be great accents) we saw this trunk.  Bartered in a couple of other items and ended up paying $5.00 for everything!  Here it is after cleanup:

And here it is tucked perfectly underneath this cubby area.  Now I can store my Cuisinart and any extra pantry staples that I stock up on!

On Sunday, after church, there was a flea market going on in the church hall to raise money for St. Martin de Porres.  I was able to find some great treasures along with donating money to a wonderful cause.  Here is what I found:

Once again, the pot lids will be used on my sons robots but the rest is mine.  Have a great craft idea for the egg beater......to be continued :)

First...Welcome to Orlando!! I love meeting local bloggers. Let me know if you make it to Orange Tree antiques, where I have a booth and I will try to meet you. It is a large mall with 93 vendors. Your trunk was a fabulous find!!! And the price, well can we say, it was a steal!
