My Ornie Swap Goodies!

It has been absolutely crazy in my household this past two weeks!
It all started on Friday, Nov. 16th when my daughter came home with a sore throat - on her big brothers birthday!  We had a lot going on that day including a turkey parade my 6 year old had at school and ending with all of us going bowling to celebrate my son turning 11!
On Saturday, my oldest was in a dance competition against some other local schools.  They had been practicing ballroom dance including the Salsa, Rumba, Tango and Merengue.  Well there happened to be more girls in the class than boys, so during the competition, my son and two other boys had to keep going out and doing the same dances over and over to make sure all of the girls were able to dance each dance.  My son happened to have 3 partners which meant he had to dance 12 times during judging and then go back out again when names were called as they were narrowing down winners.  Then they teamed them up with kids from other schools and yelled out various dances for them to perform.  When my son finally got a break he was looking quite ill (as my daughter who had the sore throat was completely passed out on a table).  Yep, he had a fever and just wanted it all to end.  I felt terrible as he had been practicing for this for weeks.
He did come home with a ribbon, I believe for Salsa, sorry can't remember exactly.......anyway, we all came down with some sort of virus and were completely sick up til Thanksgiving Day - which I hosted!  I ended up taking two of the children to Urgent Care and they were put on antibiotics.
Thanksgiving turned out fine but it's so funny how long it takes to prepare and how fast it is over!
I did go out shopping on Thursday night...crazy!!!  And we did get most of our Christmas decorations up.  My husband goes a little crazy on the outside decorations, I will take some picts when they are finished and all lit up!
And finally,
I received my swap ornies in the mail (hosted by Amy of Bumblebee Lane)
Here is what I received:

A Red Tin Ornie with the word SNOW from Danice @ Homespun Hannah
A Prim Pumpkin with HOPE attached w/bells from Holly's Hobbies and Darbee Days
A Pieced Patchwork Christmas Stocking from Cyn @ Cynzplace
A Prim Snowman with jingle bells, rusty pin and scarf from Sandi @ The Primitive Skate

Thank you everyone, it was a lot of fun for my first swap!

Hi Lori, sorry about all of the illness in your house. I am glad everyone is feeling better now and I pray you all stay healthy! I love outside Christmas decorations, maybe because I live in an apartment and don't really have any. Can't wait to see your pictures! Nice ornaments!
Be blessed,
Cindi

Hi Lori

Oh boy what a week! I'm glad everyone is better now and you were able to go shopping! I can't wait to see the pictures of the outdoor lighting. Belgians never go crazy with that, but I wish they did haha :-).
