Falling Behind but For Good Reason

Whew, I feel like I'm caught in a whirlwind!  I have been trying to get my house ready for the company I am going to be having.  My MIL & SIL will be arriving tomorrow as their flight for today was cancelled....but that's ok, I still have a little bit more to work on.  Not that my house is dirty but with having four little ones there is always something to be picked up or put away, plus my MIL will be staying in my daughters room, so we had a lot to empty out.  We want her to feel as comfortable as possible because she doesn't usually travel this far from home.
One of the projects that we worked on this past weekend was a little area off of our back screen room.  It pretty much was a cement pad where we would sit and roast marshmallows over our fire pit.  Well, I really wanted to clean it up a bit and make it more homey!  So let me just show you with some photos:
Here is the before;

Hubby stained the cement, although it rained right after
so it really needs another coat.
We'll just have to deal for now;

We also added some pretty fencing and a little mulch garden.  The kids and I painted some stones and placed them in the mulch.  Also planted some flowers and a couple of blueberry bushes....(you can see what the rain did to the cement);

After decorating and sweeping, here are the finished shots;

Oh I love it sooooo much more!  Now I can go out and have my coffee or a little bite at the bistro set!

I have so much more to share....decorated tree, a makeover, more goodies from Tuesday Morning, a cute win from Barefoot Primitives, etc.  but I have to get going, so much to do.  I will be back tomorrow morning to share with you!
Enjoy your day:)
