Happy Valentine's Day!!
This image was taken from a card that my daughter made me, I love those homemade cards:)
Well today is the last day of Cindi's Whole Lotta Love...
thank you Cindi, it was a whole lotta fun!
I really enjoyed reading everyone's posts.
Today my whole lotta love is for my family...my mother, father and siblings...
but especially my mother.
My mother passed away on August 29th, 2010 from cancer and not
a day goes by that I don't think of her.
It still feels like yesterday and it was one of the hardest losses
I have ever had to deal with.
I still to this day think I can pick up the phone and give her a call.
She was never judgmental and always knew just what to say,
and if she didn't know what to say
she would just listen. She was kind, generous and very giving.
She was one of the most wonderful people I ever knew,
in fact everyone called her a saint.
Here is a picture of my family Before I even came along.
(We always say that I am that blob floating in the right corner of the picture:)
As you can see I am the youngest of 5.
We all live far apart from one another, but always make it a point to keep in touch.
We are all grown up with our own children now.
My oldest brother has Down Syndrome and recently was placed into assisted living.
It was getting too difficult for my dad at his age to take care of him properly.
We all usually go home on the 4th of July to meet up but my husband and I
haven't been able to make it in the past couple of years.
Hopefully we can save up this year and possibly make the trip:)
I know we all would enjoy it, I miss them terribly!
Well that's the end of my whole lotta love.
There are so many more things that I adore but I think I've managed
to say the ones that are at the top of my list!
Have a wonderful Valentine's Day...
and remember to always spread peace, love and joy:)

Have a lovely day! This was a special post - family is dear to my heart too!
Happy Valentine's Day Lori. What a special post. It is sad we have to lose such special people in our lives. Having brothers and sisters is the best. I hope you get to visit this year. -Steph-
Wow, you really touched my heart. I feel the same way as I lost my Dad in 2005 from cancer. I was seven months pregnant with Caitlin and it was the hardest time of my life. I miss my Dad so much as we were very close and he was diagnosed and gone in 5 months. I know my Dad is with me and your Mom is looking upon you with love and admiration. She knows how much you miss her and she loves you. I'm sure she blesses you and your family every day. Love, Maggie
What a special tribute to your mom! I am so sorry for your loss (((hugs))). Thank you so much for joining in on my chain, I so appreciate it!
A whole lotta love to you!
Cindi
What a nice post. Family is always special. Hope you had a happy Valentine's day :)
Hope you had a nice Valentine's Day Lori!
What a sweet post. No, we never get over losing our Mothers. I am sure your brother will do fine in assisted living. He probably will like all the activities. Hope your Dad is adjusting to him not being there.
I share in your grief over your mother. I lost my mother to cancer in 2010 also. I miss her everyday! We were fortunate to have such wonderful role models! Enjoyed your "Whole Lotta Love" posts. I have also nominated you for a Liebster Award. See my blog: crosson5.blogspot.com for the details:)
